Landscape Class with 3D Elements.........Barb's piece... will ours look half as good???
This was such a fun class. A big thank you to Barb Binotto for coming from Maine to teach this two day class. We learned so much. The tree, fence, stump, mushrooms, shrubs, are all 3 dimensional and are added at the end. They were such fun to make. And we learned to make corners which allow the piece to fit right over a stretched canvas. Slick as can be.
hope to see lots of these at our next Show & Tell.
we had a terrific time turning out these little gems.
Anne Morrell-Robinson's Class
We had a wonderful two days of classes with Anne Morrell Robinson. And her trunk show was fantastic. Thanks to Ann Perry for posting pictures. I have to admit that I forgot to bring my camera for the Friday class, so don't have any pictures to share. However, I did remember on Saturday.
*********************************
Anne Morrell Robinson from KingRoss Quilts and Fibre Art is coming to teach classes on April 13, and 14th. The Friday class on the 13th will be a Machine Applique and she will teach Hand Applique on Saturday. She will also be giving a trunk show on the Friday night at 7 pm. This will be a dessert party as well. This is open to the public, cost $5.00. The trunk show as well as the classes are being held at
St. Luke's Church Hall
Quispamsis Road
Quispamsis, NB
for more information, please call Sue at 216-2121.
Our Classes are full and we are all excited about having this talented quilter come to share her talents.
We have had several very successful classes since September. The latest one was a Machine Applique Class taught by Sue McEachern in which students appliqued a poinsettia block and have the option to make 8 more for a lovely wall hanging. Most of the blocks were shown at the Feb. meeting.
Our next class is on Sat. Feb. 18 and is being taught by Mary Crowley. It is a skinny Quilt (don't we wish we could be skinny quilters - well I do anyway). I will take pictures and post after class.
Our SKINNY QUILT class today Feb. 18th, was a great success... What fun!!
Thank you Mary.... a really fun day..
